Description

Private Tour of Gallery Borghese - Come take this Private tour with our expert guide of one of most beautiful museums in the world! You can not leave Rome without visiting the Borghese Gallery (Galleria Borghese, in Italian),. and with Private Tour of Gallery Borghese you have the luxury of your own guide! The Gallery is located in the gardens of Villa Borghese and retains the renowned artistic richness of the city as one of the essential art galleries to see at least once in your life.

The Borghese Gallery private tour will show you the treasures, a substantial part of the Borghese collection of paintings, sculptures and antiques, which was begun by Cardinal Scipione Borghese (1576 - 1633), nephew of Pope Paul V (papacy: 1605-1621). Scipione Borghese was the first patron of Bernini and an avid collector of works by Caravaggio, so both artists are widely represented in the museum.

Also notable exhibits on this Private Tour of Gallery Borghese are works by other authors as Sacred and Profane Love by Tiziano, the Burial of Christ by Raphael Sanzio and notable works of Peter Paul Rubens, Jusepe de Ribera, Federico Barocci and Agnolo Bronzino, among others.

Join us on this journey through the Italian Renaissance and surprise yourself with the works of Gian Lorenzo Bernini and Caravaggio. We look forward to seeing you soon for this Private Tour of Gallery Borghese.

Our tour guide was nice and the tour was good. Although, we felt as though the tour guide could have touched a little more upon the Borghese family and the rooms we were in, rather than just specific art pieces in the museum. If you aren\\\'t interested in fine art, the tour may be a little long for you. However, the rooms, art, and statues were absolutely breath taking and can be appreciated anyone, art-lover or not.

Amazing, classical works. Thanks to our guide Stefania we could understand more of Greek and Roman mythology and appreciate fully the beautiful sculptures in the gallery.
